Please follow the steps below to book your tutorial:
Follow the FLA writing center X (Twitter) account @FLA_writer and receive notifications of time slots that have become free.
Important, please read!
- Look at the online schedule from the link above, "Our Daily Availability," and check the availability of the time slot you want.
- Identify two time slots, your preferred time slot and an alternative time slot (just in case your preferred time is not available).
- Fill out and submit the Tutorial Booking Form
- The FLA Writing Center will send you a confirmation email with the booking details or Zoom details for your appointment.
- Join the tutorial five minutes before the scheduled time and ensure you have your writing document ready to share with the tutor.
- After your tutorial, please fill out and submit the Tutorial Reflection Form.

Important, please read!
- Please read the GUIDELINE before you make a booking.
- You can make as many bookings as you want but one at a time.
- Ensure you schedule an appointment online at least 30 minutes before your session.
- Cancelling your appointment is very disruptive. If you have to cancel your appointment do so at least a day before your scheduled tutorial. You MUST fill out and submit a Cancellation Form
- All FLA rules and guidelines regarding Honoring Academic Integrity, Safeguarding Intellectual Property, and Participating in Online Classes are applicable to your conduct in the FLA Writing Center.
- Make sure to follow the university's hygiene protocols to avoid any virus contamination.
- Please bring a print-out of your assignment and your own stationary. Avoid bringing your laptop, tablet or smartphone to show the assignment.
- Do not use smartphones or tablets for Zoom tutorials as the screen share function is disabled for such devices.
- Do not log into Zoom through connected applications, such as Facebook or Google. Doing so may prevent you from entering the Zoom meeting room.
- Be sure to have a stable internet connection, and be in a quiet place.
