The FLA Writing Center offers tutorials (by appointment only) at the following times.
Mon: 10:00-14:15, Tue: 10:00-16:50, Wed: 10:55-14:15, Thu: 10:00-16:50, Fri: 10:00-15:05

How to Book a Tutorial Session:

Look at the online schedule from the link above, "Our Daily Availability," and check the availability of the time slot you want.
*Bookings can be made for up to 10 days in advance, including today.
Identify two time slots, your preferred time slot and an alternative time slot (just in case your preferred time is not available).
Fill out and submit the [Tutorial Booking Form]
The FLA Writing Center will send you a confirmation email with the booking details or Zoom details for your appointment.
Join the tutorial five minutes before the scheduled time and ensure you have your writing document ready to share with the tutor.
After your tutorial, please fill out and submit the [Tutorial Reflection Form]

TIP: Follow the FLA writing center X (Twitter) account [@FLA_writer] and receive notifications of time slots that have become free.

Important, please read!

Please read the [GUIDELINE] before you make a booking.
You can make as many bookings as you want but one at a time.
Ensure you schedule an appointment online at least 30 minutes before your session.
Cancelling your appointment is very disruptive. If you have to cancel your appointment do so at least a day before your scheduled tutorial. You MUST fill out and submit a [Cancellation Form].
All FLA rules and guidelines regarding Honoring Academic Integrity, Safeguarding Intellectual Property, and Participating in Online Classes are applicable to your conduct in the FLA Writing Center.

On Campus Tutorials

Make sure to follow the university's hygiene protocols to avoid any virus contamination.
Please bring a print-out of your assignment and your own stationary. Avoid bringing your laptop, tablet or smartphone to show the assignment.

Online Tutorials

Do not use smartphones or tablets for Zoom tutorials as the screen share function is disabled for such devices.
Do not log into Zoom through connected applications, such as Facebook or Google. Doing so may prevent you from entering the Zoom meeting room.
Be sure to have a stable internet connection, and be in a quiet place.
