This list is intended to familiarize you with online resources that can aid your academic writing development. Keep in mind that new websites are constantly appearing and old websites frequently change URLs or disappear entirely. Also, remember that you need to make a careful judgment about the credibility of all online sources. (See the appropriate chapters in Harbrace Writer's Handbook for the use of online sources.)

Research at The FLA Writing Center

The FLA Writing Center directors are regularly engaged in writing research. In February 2019, The FLA and Sophia University were proud to host The Eleventh Symposium on Writing Centers in Asia. The plenary speaker was Brian Paltridge of the University of Sydney. He spoke on “Genre and second language academic writing: Influences and developments.” There were also more than twenty research presentations on a variety of topics related to writing pedagogy.
